Position Overview

118博金宝is unique among STEM education programs in its ability to provide access to a trusted source of accurate, engaging science journalism. The program currently serves nearly 5,500 schools and 95 district or regional school cohorts lead by a STEM Coordinator. Through the rich content of科学新闻和Educator Guide lesson planstied to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Disciplinary Core Ideas,科学新闻in High Schools makes it possible for teachers to engage their students in the type of inquiry-based learning necessary for postsecondary persistence and success. With科学新闻in High Schools, teachers can help students connect class content to the latest discoveries, making topics more current and relevant, and empower more young people to pursue STEM careers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creates data management processes and guides for program activities, including renewal, open enrollment and audience surveys in support of school retention and a diverse program reach.
  • Supports improvements and enhancements to the database and any appropriate integration with other SEP programs.

  • Provides administrative support to the functions of the program. This includes responding to phone and email inquiries and assisting in administrative and accounting paperwork.

  • Supports website updates and marketing email sends for the program and across other Science Education Programs.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s undergraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years work experience
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • A degree in education, data science or a STEM-related field
  • Experience with summarizing data through maps, charts, diagrams, graphs or other data visualizations
  • Relational database knowledge (SQL, Access, Airtable, The Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or other database software) and experience with online data acquisition platforms (Form Assembly, Survey Monkey, etc.).

Physical Requirements
